The STEAM program at Doncaster Secondary College is designed to promote Science, Technology, Engineering, The Arts and Mathematics across the school and as a career pathway. It has been developed in alignment with the Victorian Curriculum Capabilities specifically in the area of Critical and Creative Thinking and 21st Century Skills that workforces are currently promoting. The Girls in STEM group meets each week to challenge girls in their STEAM thinking and development. Students are also encouraged to participate in competitions and events with a STEAM theme.

Students participate in programs such as;

  • eduSTEM Robotics and Coding
  • 3D printing and drawing
  • PrintACar Challenge

Some of our STEAM program highlights include;

  • Perpetual Energy machine design in Year 8 .
  • My Robot in Year 9.
  • USA Space Science Camp in 2019.
