Instrumental Music

Tuition is offered on a large range of woodwind, brass, percussion and string instruments during school time. Students learning at the College are expected to be a part of large ensembles that rehearse before or after school. Students who learn outside of school are also encouraged to participate in the choir and ensembles with the school. A music camp is held in May for junior ensembles while senior students have the opportunity to tour in December. Past tours have taken students to Adelaide, East Gippsland, Sydney, and the Victorian high country.

A Rock Program is offered to students who play contemporary instruments such as electric guitar, drums, bass guitar and voice. Rehearsals are held each week and time is set aside for each group to make a recording of their original songs or covers.

College concerts and soirees are held throughout the year in different locations and students are encouraged to participate in the regional concert held at Hamer Hall.

AMEB exams can be undertaken at all levels.
